Root: ― The periderm is composed of 4–6 rows rectangular cells at the outermost section and it is partially fragmented. There is a parenchymatic cortex composed of 12–15 rows of irregular cells underneath the periderm. Locally druse crystals occur in the cortex. Vascular systemis well developed. A couple-layered cambium can be distinguished right beneath the phloem. There are several trachea and tracheid in the xylem tissue which are located underneath the cambium. Xylem rays are composed of 2–3 rows rectangular-like cells. Xylem components are located in pith ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ).

Stem: ― The epidermis consists of single-layer of rectangular cells at the outermost section. Hairs are sparsely ditributed. Just beneath the epidermis, there is cortex layer composed of 3–4 layers of cells. A sclerenchyma layer covers a large area and it is composed of 6–10 layers of sclerenchymatic cells. Wall thickness of sclerenchymatic cells close to cortex layer is greater than the wall thickness of the cells located near the center. Beneath the latter layer, there is an endodermis composed of single-row cells. xylem is located outward and phloem is located inward. A nebulous cambium occurs between xylem and phloem. The pith underneath the vascular bundle is composed of parenchymatic cells and pitch, and pitch cavity is located right at the center ( Fig. 2c View FIGURE 2 ).

Leaf: ― Over the top and bottom section of the leaf, there is a single-layer regularly ordered rectangular-like epidermis without intercellular spaces. Hairs occur on both upper and the lower epiderm. Mesophyll also occur and it is composed of palisade parenchyma including regularly ordered cylindrical cells and spongy parenchyma. The parenchyma includes irregularly ordered cells with quite large paracellular pathways beneath the palisade parenchyma. Druse crystals are present in mesophyll tissue. Leaf type is equifacial. The greatest vascular bundle is the central one. Vascular bundles are collateral in type and surrounded by a single-layer bundle-sheath cells ( Fig. 2d View FIGURE 2 ).
