Diagnosis. Among its close Pholcus relatives (see the remark of P. henanensis ), this species is very similar to P. linzhou in the shape of the palpal bulb and epigynum, but can be distinguished from it by the shape of the tip of the procursus ( Figs. 30D–E View FIGURE 30 ) and by the shape of the uncus ( Fig. 30D View FIGURE 30 ).

Leg I: 38.1 (9.9+0.8+9.6+15.3+2.5), tibia II: 7.1, tibia III: 4.6, tibia IV: 6.1; tibia I L/D: 60. Prosoma shape as in Fig. 30A View FIGURE 30 . Carapace short, broad and almost circular, ochre, with pair of brown central marks broadly connecting to ocular area. Cephalic region raised, with brown stripe centrally, ocular area dark yellow. Clypeus 0.71, slightly ochre, with brown marks centrally. Distance AME–AME 0.04. Diameter AME 0.08, ALE 0.10, PME 0.13, PLE 0.13. Chelicerae as in Fig. 30C View FIGURE 30 , with pair of black apophyses distally and pair of unsclerotized thumb-shaped apophyses proximolaterally. Labium and endites yellowish brown. Distribution. Known from type locality only.

Material examined. CHINA: Hebei, Wu’an County, Liejiang Town , May 19, 1999, leg. F. Zhang, male holotype, 2♂ paratypes ( MHBU) .

Remark. This species was originally described from males only by Zhang & Zhang (2000), and according to the shape of palpal organ, it belongs to the Pholcus species group that includes P. henanensis , P. linzhou , P. mianshanensis sp. nov., P. paralinzhou sp. nov., P. taishan and P. yugong sp. nov., see remark P. henanensis ,
