ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Tachina nitidula Meigen, 1824 .
TYPE SPECIES: Tachina nitidula Meigen, 1824 , sensu Rondani, 1856 [misidentification; = Tachina devia Fallén, 1820 ], by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste Pape (1996: 160) ].
FAMILY: SARCOPHAGIDAE .
REMARKS: Originally proposed as “ Brachicoma Mgn. ”; however, since Meigen never proposed this genus, it is attributed to Rondani (1856).
