CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Dichaeta Meigen, 1830 ; junior synonym of Dichaeta Meigen, 1830 (as a subgenus of Notiphila Fallén, 1810 ). New synonymy.
FAMILY: EPHYDRIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “ae” to “e” in the same work. Dichaeta Meigen, 1830 is currently treated as a subgenus of Notiphila Fallén, 1810 [ teste Mathis & Zatwarnicki (1995: 102) ].
