ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Strebla wiedemanni Kolenati, 1863 (as “ Strebla Wiedmannii Kol. ”).
TYPE SPECIES: Strebla wiedemanni Kolenati, 1863 (as “ Strebla Wiedmannii Kol. ”) [preoccupied by Strebla wiedemanni Kolenati, 1856 ; = Trichobius yunkeri Wenzel, 1966 ], by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Trichobius Gervais, 1844 [ teste Wenzel (1970: 3) ].
FAMILY: HIPPOBOSCIDAE .
274. Lamnea Rondani, 1861e: 168 (as “Lamnêa”).
CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Limnoea Rondani, 1856 ; junior synonym of Erioptera Meigen, 1803 . New synonymy.
FAMILY: LIMONIIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “oe” to “e” in the same work. Limnoea Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Erioptera Meigen, 1803 [ teste Savchenko et al. (1992: 252) ].
