CURRENT STATUS: Unnecessary new replacement name for Melania Meigen, 1838; junior synonym of Phyllomya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 387 ; as “ Phyllomyia ”)].
