409. Palpimega Rondani, 1856: 136 . ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Palpimega nivalis Rondani, 1856 . TYPE SPECIES: Palpimega nivalis Rondani, 1856 , by original designation. CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Triphleba Rondani, 1856 [ teste Gori (1999: 145) ]. FAMILY: PHORIDAE . REMARKS: Although proposed for a Palaearctic taxon, the genus-group name was not included by Disney

(1991). Gori (1999: 145) examined the type species, Palpimega nivalis Rondani, 1856 , and found it to be conspecific with Triphleba novembrinus Schmitz, 1943 .
