ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Tachina unicolor Fallén, 1820 (with “ Tachina Inequalis Mihi ” in synonymy).
TYPE SPECIES: Tachina unicolor Fallén, 1820 (with “ Tachina Inequalis Mihi ” in synonymy), by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste O’Hara & Wood (2004: 106) ].
FAMILY: TACHINIDAE .
REMARKS: Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 153) treated this genus-group name as an invalid senior synonym of Pericheta Rondani, 1859 . Pericheta Rondani, 1859 is an unnecessary new replacement name for Policheta Rondani, 1856 [under the assumption the latter was preoccupied by the familygroup name Polychoeta (as “ Policheta ”) of Zetterstedt (1842: 1, 12)]. Tachina inequalis Rondani, 1856 is treated here as an unnecessary new replacement name for Tachina unicolor Fallén, 1820 .
