CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Teichomyza Macquart, 1835 ; junior synonym of Teichomyza Macquart, 1835 (as a subgenus of Scatella Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 ). New synonymy.
FAMILY: EPHYDRIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “ch” to “c” in the same work. Teichomyza Macquart, 1835 is currently treated as a subgenus of Scatella Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 by Mathis & Zatwarnicki (1995: 280).
