536. Stannia Rondani, 1857: 14 .

TYPE SPECIES: Tachytrechus notatus Stannius, 1831 , automatic [by designation of the same species (by subsequent designation of Rondani, 1856: 143) for Hammobates Rondani, 1856 ].

CURRENT STATUS: Unnecessary new replacement name for Ammobates Stannius, 1831 ; junior synonym of Tachytrechus Haliday, 1851 [ teste Brooks (2005: 120–121 , 126)].

FAMILY: DOLICHOPODIDAE .

REMARKS: Rondani (1857: 14), in his errata to his 1856 work, replaced “ Hammobates Stann. ” with Stannia . In the annotation underneath this he stated that Ammobates Stannius is preoccupied in Hymenoptera . He thus emended Ammobates Stannius to Hammobates and also replaced the latter with Stannia at the same time. See also under Hammobates Rondani, 1857 above.
