Regional distribution. According to our data, thiS SpecieS iS Very common throughout Mongolia, except for itS Southern partS. It occurS in habitatS of different type ranging from large mountain lakeS to Semi-permanent floodplain poolS and Shallow oxbow lakeS.
Extra-limital distribution. A SpecieS of Holarctic diStribution ( KrugloV 2005).
Variation. IndiVidualS of R. auricularia collected in waterbodieS of Mongolia are morphologically Very Similar with their conSpecificS liVing in other partS of EuraSia. VinarSki (2016b) could not reVeal any Significant differenceS among Mongolian and Siberian populationS of R. auricularia .
