Diagnosis. This new species can be distinguished from all other Paratus species by the long, sword-shaped embolus, terminus of tegular outgrowth with an apophysis and the retrolateral tibial apophysis comprises two parts.

Description. Male (holotype, Fig. 22A View Figure 22 ). Total length 2.95, carapace 1.46 long, 1.31 wide, abdomen 1.26 long, 1.09 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.11, ALE 0.09, PME 0.10, PLE 0.10, AME–AME 0.09, AME–ALE 0.05, PME– PME 0.11, PME–PLE 0.12, ALE–PLE 0.04. Several bent setae originating at base of fang. Carapace bright yellow, with two pairs of brown bands laterally. Highest point of carapace at fovea. Fovea red brown, long and straight. Cervical groove indistinct, radial groove distinct. Sternum light yellow, with grey pattern submarginally. Chelicerae same color as carapace, with 3 promarginal and 4 retromarginal teeth. Abdomen grey, with distinct black patches and irregular white guanine spots. Leg measurements: I 3.95 (1.20, 1.68, 0.86, 0.21), II 3.49 (1.02, 1.45, 0.67, 0.35), III 3.61 (0.95, 1.52, 0.86, 0.28), IV 4.11 (1.20, 1.42, 1.06, 0.43). Legs colored as carapace, tibia I with 7 pairs of long ventral spines, tibia II with 6 pairs of long ventral spines, metatarsi I and II with 3 pairs of long ventral spines.

Palp (holotype, Fig. 19 View Figure 19 ). Patella slightly longer than tibia. Retrolateral tibial apophysis comprises two parts, ventroretrolateral tibial apophysis narrowed, straight, two times longer than dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis, serrations on dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis. Tegulum oval, with triangular tegular outgrowth. Embolus and conductor originating at dorsally on bulb, conductor strongly curved, embolus longer than conductor, straight.

Material examined. Holotype ♂ (IZCAS-Ar43266), China: Yunnan, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture , Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, Dawei Mount , 14 May 2019, Y. Wang leg. Paratype. 1♂ (IZCAS-Ar43267), same data as holotype .

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.

Etymology. The species is named after Mrs. Meiying Lin who has helped us greatly with this research; noun (name) in genitive case.
