Funny valentine Lin & Li , sp. nov. ( Figs 8–9 )

Diagnosis. Same as for the genus.

Description. Male (holotype, Figs 9C–D ). Total length 2.00. Colour in alcohol: carapace, sternum, chelicerae, labium, endites, palps, and legs white. Carapace 0.94 long, 0.70 wide. Abdomen 1.05 long, 0.70 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.05, PME 0.04, AME–AME 0.06, PME–PME 0.07, AME–PME 0.02, AME–ALE 0.02, ALE–PME 0.04. Anterior eye row recurved. Leg measurements: I 2.24 (0.64, 0.81, 0.43, 0.36), II 2.01 (0.57, 0.69, 0.40, 0.35), III 2.06 (0.55, 0.70, 0.44, 0.37), IV 1.64 (0.43, 0.54, 0.41, 0.26). Abdomen oval, spinnerets short.

Palp ( Fig. 8 ). Retrolateral tibial apophysis in two parts: wide ventro-retrolateral tibial apophysis and narrow dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis, dorsal tibial apophysis blunt. Median apophysis translucent, ear-shaped. Conductor partially wrapped around embolus, terminus pointed.

Female ( Fig. 9E ). Total length 2.21. Carapace 0.91 long, 0.65 wide. Abdomen 1.32 long, 0.94 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.05, PME 0.04, AME–AME 0.05, PME–PME 0.04, AME–PME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.01, ALE–PME 0.03. Anterior eye row recurved. Leg measurements: I 1.75 (0.53, 0.63, 0.31, 0.28), II 1.49 (0.46, 0.53, 0.27, 0.23), III 1.26 (0.36, 0.40, 0.26, 0.24), IV 1.75 (0.49, 0.61, 0.38, 0.27). Habitus similar to that of male.

Epigyne ( Figs 9A–B ) about 3 times wider than long, copulatory duct inconspicuous. Spermatheca in two parts: Spermathecal head small, oval, primary spermathecae almost two times larger than spermathecal head, kidney shaped. Fertilization duct transverse.

Material examined. Holotype ♂ (IZCAS-Ar43249), China: Sichuan, Kangding City, Mugecuo , under moss (30.1447°N, 101.8581°E, elev. 3806 m), 9 August 2006, Y. Song, Z. Cui and J. Xu leg. Paratypes. 4♀ (IZCAS-Ar43250–Ar43253), same data as holotype .

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.

Etymology. The specific name is an arbitrary combination of letters; masculine in gender.
