Etymology

From the Quechua lurusinqa , long nose, in reference to the length of the snout of the species. It is a noun in apposition.

Holotype

MHNC.14061, an anterior portion of a snout and mandible ( Fig. 16).

Type locality

Blanco Rancho, North of Anzaldo, Esteban Arce Province, Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia.
