The species has previously been reported only from Mexico ( Metcalf 1963a) but there are references to Texas specimens after the original species description in Davis (1941). The type series was collected in Nuevo León ( Davis 1941). The author has also identified specimens from Tamaulipas, Nuevo León and Coahuila.
