Chironomus dorsalis sensu Strenzke

The chromosome set is 2n = 8.AE chromosome is submetacentric, CD and BF chromosomes are metacentric, G chromosome is telocentric ( Fig. 16 ). The centromere regions of all chromosomes are formed of thin dark bands. Chromosome G has two BRs and one NOR, near to the centromere region. On both sides of one BR there are double dark bands—a marker of the species ( Fig. 16 ).Ten larvae were analyzed.
