The chromosome set is 2n = 8. Chromosome AE is submetacentric, chromosomes CD and BF are metacentric and chromosome G is telocentric ( Fig.13 View FIGURE 13 ). The centromere regions of all chromosomes are formed of large bands which look like a block of dark bands. Chromosome arm A has well developed NOR, while chromosome G has one BR. On both sides of the BR in chromosome G there are several dark bands which can be used for identification of the species. The species is a synonym of C. crassimanus ( Barna et al. 2010) . Nineteen individuals were studied.
