To date, the fossil family Baissidae contains 36 recognized species within seven genera: Baissa (3 spp.), Electrobaissa (1 sp.), Heterobaissa (1 sp.), Humiryssus (6 spp.), Manlaya (21 spp.), Mesepipolaea (2 spp.) and Tillywhimia (2 spp.). In total, 12 species of which are recorded in China, included within Heterobaissa (1 sp.), Humiryssus (5 spp.), Manlaya (4 spp.) and Mesepipolaea (2 spp.) ( Engel 2013; Li et al. 2018; Jouault et a l. 2022).
