Mey; gen slide no. CIS-7015, COI barcode CBNU060, in MfN ; 1♂, Uganda, Central. Mabira Forest , 0˚23ʹ56ʹʹN 33˚0ʹ43ʹʹE, 1200 m, 9 iii 2013, leg. D. Agassiz & M. Ngugi, gen. slide no. CIS-7402, in NHMUK .

Diagnosis. The new species is superficially very similar to T. ealaensis , with distinct ante- and post-median blackish fasciae on forewing. It can be distinguished from the latter by the male genitalia: cucullus narrow distally with a small, triangular protrusion on costa apically and aedeagus slenderer, with a pair of different-sized triangular processes apically.

Description. Male ( Figs. 10 View FIGURE 10 A–C). Forewing length 7.0– 7.5 mm. Head: Dark brown dorsally, with pale-orange erect scales laterally. Basal segment of antenna elongated, grayish orange on outer surface; flagellum serrate, with fine cilia ventrally, orange white, with dark-brown annulations in basal 3/4 and creamy white in apical 1/4, with distinct dark-brown annulations in basal 3/4, paler toward apex ( Fig. 10B View FIGURE 10 ). Second segment of labial palpus thickened, grayish orange, speckled with dark-brown scales in basal half on outer surface; 3 rd segment slender, strongly upturned, slightly shorter than 2 nd segment, dark brown ventrally.

Thorax: Notum and tegula yellowish brown. Forewing ground color dark brown, scattered with dark-brown scales irregularly; antemedian fascia broad, black; postmedian fascia indistinct; costa arched beyond 2/3, oblique to apex; apex obtuse; termen oblique; fringe concolorous with ground color, with narrow, orange-white basal line. Hind wing pale brownish grey; apex more or less obtuse; fringe concolorous with ground color, with narrow orangewhite basal line. Hind tibia black on dorsal surface, with a narrow creamy-white median band; 1 st tarsomere creamy white in basal 1/3, then black beyond.

Abdomen ( Figs. 10D, G View FIGURE 10 ): Dark brown dorsally, creamy white ventrally, with a long, terminal scale-tuft dorsally, with a pair of long hair-pencils between segment VII and VIII; sternite VIII uniquely modified, with a long, aristate anterior stalk, bifurcated apically; tergite VIII large, heavily sclerotized, V-shaped. Male genitalia ( Figs. 10E, F View FIGURE 10 ): Uncus long, broadened distally, about half the width of basal plate of gnathos, convex medially on caudal margin. Basal plate of gnathos gently rounded on caudal margin, not exceeding apex of uncus; median process narrower toward apex, strongly curved downward at nearly a right angle beyond 2/3, sharply pointed. Tegumen with nearly inverted V-shaped incision anteriorly. Valva with a small triangular process near base on costa; basal bar-shaped rod well developed, extended to base of costa; cucullus elongated, nearly parallel-sided, strongly upturned, with a triangular protrusion on costa apically, ventral margin gently arched, densely setose, rounded apically. Juxta large, elongated, as long as tegumen, with a large, triangular median plate and a long sclerotized median bar ventrally. Vinculum band-like. Aedeagus more or less slender, shorter than valva, slightly curved near basal 1/3 ventrally, narrowly produced ventro-apically, with a pair of different-sized triangular processes apically; cornuti consisting of a bundle of long spines mixed with numerous pegs and irregular small sclerites. Female genitalia (Fig. H). Abdominal sternite VII deeply emarginated medially. Ostium bursae convex on caudal margin. Antrum elongated, deeply con- cave on lateral margin. sclerotized, about 1/5 the length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae wide over all, as long as corpus bursae, bearing numerous scattered conic spines; ductus seminalis broad, arising from broadened distal part of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate; signum with a transverse groove medially, posterior lip large, bell-shaped and anterior lip smaller, sub-triangular.

Distribution. Uganda (Mpigi Distr., Buikwe Distr.).

Etymology. This species name is derived from the Latin nemor (= woodland).
