Metaleptobasis daiglei new species

Holotype ♂: PANAMA, Colón Province, Portobelo District, palmetto/ banana swamp, west side of Río Piedras near town of María Chiquita , 10 am (9°27’4’’N, 79°44’18’’W, 10 m), 2 June 2022, Jerrell J. Daigle leg. [ FSCA].

Etymology. I name this species daiglei (noun in the genitive case) in honor of Jerrell J. Daigle, enthusiastic odonatologist who first collected it, in recognition of his contributions to the knowledge of New World Odonata and his friendship and assistance.
