Current Status. Synonym of Rhytidocassis limbiventris ( Boheman, 1854) .
Remarks. This taxon was described based on numerous specimens without selection of a unique type ( Spaeth 1912b); therefore, all specimens are syntypes. Spaeth (1941) synonymized C. kristenseni with Rhytidocassis limbiventris ( Boheman, 1854) . Borowiec (2002) revised the African species of Rhytidocassis Spaeth, 1941 and concurred with Spaeth (1941). He listed four syntypes of C. kristenseni as paralectotypes but did not designate a lectotype. No other lectotype designation for this taxon is known to us, and therefore all specimens are syntypes.
