TYPE LOCALITY: USA, Oregon, neighborhood Columbia River .

DISTRIBUTION: SW British Columbia ( Canada) to C California ( USA).

STATUS: IUCN - Indeterminate as A. r. nigra and A. r. phaea .

SYNONYMS: californica, chryseola, Columbiana , grisea, humboldtiana , leporinus, major , nigra , olympica , pacifica , phaea , rainieri.
