Note:— A specimen of D. dasycaulon, G.W. Schimper 397.1897 ( P barcode P 02379767) could not be assigned either to G. W. Schimper 397 or to G. W. Schimper 1897. According to the notes on the label and to the Index of Exsiccatae database ( Triebel & Scholz 2001 –2015), it seems that Hohenacker, in 1852 when preparing a second edition of the material collected by Schimper for Unio Itineraria (acquired from Hochstetter and Steudel), encountered this specimen, which was only labeled with the locality. As there was no other clue to assign it to one or the other voucher, he chose to cite both collection numbers (397.1897).
