Wasmann 1894: 210 (description, included species: T. meinerti Wasmann, 1894 ); Kistner & Jacobson 1976: 8 (redescription of the genus); Jacobson et al. 1986: 76 (the most recent complete bibliographic and synonymic list, including five species); Kistner 2006: 618 (redescription of T. huachii Seevers, 1946 and meinerti ).

Type species: T. meinerti Wasmann, 1894 (designation by monotypy).
