Type locality. Turkey: " Klein-Asien , ♂ Type, ♂ Paratype Coll. m. (Akschehir, VI.1955, leg. Seidenstücker)" .

Remarks. Linsenmaier designated a female as allotype in the type-collection with the following labels: Graecia, Pelop. Mistras 6.VI.61 leg. Linsenmaier // ♀ Allotype Holopyga Dhlb. vigora Lins. Linsenmaier det 1963 // No Type Rosa det. 2010. This specimen is not part of the type series because it was collected and identified years after the description, so that it cannot be considered an allotype.

Subgenus Chamaeholopyga Linsenmaier, 1987

Chamaeholopyga Linsenmaier, 1987:137 (as subgenus of Holopyga Dahlbom, 1845 ). Type species: Holopyga (Chamaeholopyga) parvicornis Linsenmaier, 1987: 137 .
