Material examined. MHNLCLFE AS 15, between Mukomuko and Lubuksao, Province of Sumatera Barat, elev. ca. 430 m; MNHN 2003.3409, (adult?, SVL 257 mm, TAL 2.5 mm), area northwest of Kirilanjao, Province of Sumatera Barat.

Taxonomic comments. The specimen MNHN 2003.3409 has a short, relatively stout body as described by Taylor (1968). The folds forment obtuse angles on venter and grooves cross back only posteriorly. The light line is contiuous from below the eye to the tail and there is only a small constriction on posterior head.

Distribution on Sumatra. Aceh, Sumatera Utara; new for Sumatera Barat.

Biology. In Lubuksao, numerous adult and subadult specimens were observed in activity on tracks in forested and cultivated areas between the sunset and 2200 hours during rainy night both in August and November. In Kirilanjao, the specimen was collected at night in November on a track crossing a plantation during a heavy rain shower.
