Eucharis (Pachyeucharis) punctata ; Bouček, 1956: 252; change in combination. Psilogastrellus punctatus, Bouček, 1977: 60 , 124; change in combination.

Material examined

1♀, Saudi Arabia, Al-Baha, Wadi Galala (20.14638°N, 41.3425°E), altitude 1900 m (leg. Setvaningrum), sweep net (KSMA).

Host records

It has been recorded from Messor sp., Messor barbarus (Linnaeus) and Messor concolor Santschi ( Noyes 2015) .

Distribution

Algeria, Austria ( Heraty 2002), Egypt ( Heraty 2002; Gadallah et al. 2013); Tunisia ( Bouček 1956), Turkey ( Bouček 1951, 1956), Croatia ( Bouček 1977). Saudi Arabia (new record).

Notes

This species largely agrees with Ruschka ’ s description ( Ruschka 1924) as well as with the characters given in Bouček ’ s key ( Bouček 1956). However, wing infuscation of the Saudi Arabian specimen is somewhat darker and extends along most of wing surface ( Figure 8 ).
