TYPE LOCALITY: India, Sikkim .

DISTRIBUTION: Himalayas from W Nepal east through Sikkim, Bhutan, to S and E Xizang (Tibet; Feng et al., 1986).

SYNONYMS: thricolis .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neodon , a member, along with irene , of the sikimensis species group sensu Zagorodnyuk (1990) . Geographic distribution is parapatric on E Tibetan Plateau with A4, irene (see that account).
