TYPE LOCALITY: Yugoslavia, Rep. Makedonija ( Macedonia), Pelister Mtns, near Trnovo-Magarevo .

DISTRIBUTION: S Yugoslavia and Greece (see Niethammer, 1982/1, 1987b).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Terricola , savii species group sensu Chaline et al. (1988) . Reviewed by Niethammer (1982/i). Chromosomal data summarized and reviewed by Zima and Krâl (1984a). Biochemical comparisons among M. felteni , M. subterraneus , and other voles are documented by Gill et al. (1987).
