TYPE LOCALITY: Iran, Kerman Prov., Zahrud-e Bala, 70 km S Kerman, 2700 m .

DISTRIBUTION: Recorded from two isolated mountain populations in SE Iran: Kuh-e Laleh-Zar and Kuh-e Hazar S of Kerman (see Roguin, 1988).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Microtus , arvalis species group sensu Zagorodnyuk (1990) .
