DISTRIBUTION: S Angola, W Zambia, NE and SE Botswana, Caprivi Strip, and South Africa (W, N, E Cape Province, NW Natal, N Orange Free State, S and SW Transvaal); see map in Skinner and Smithers (1990).

SYNONYMS: angolensis , bensoni, bradleyi, chiversi , leucorhynchus, mariae , orangiae , pentonyx, transvaalensis .
