TYPE LOCALITY: Azerbaidzhan, Nakhichevansk., Alindzhachai River, 7 km N Dzhul'ta .
DISTRIBUTION: Extreme S Transcaucasus (Azerbaidzhan), far NW Iran (Azarbaijan Prov.; series in the Field Museum of Natural History).
COMMENTS: C. urartensis is chromosomally and morphologically closely similar to C. mystax (Vorontsov et al., 1979, and our study of material in the Field Museum).
