TYPE LOCALITY: India, Ladak, Shushul, 13,500 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from W Nepal ( Lim and Ross, 1992), N India in Kashmir and Ladak, and western part of Tibetan Plateau in China.

COMMENTS: Feng et al. (1986) considered alticola to be a subspecies of C. kamensis , occuring in W Xizang Prov, but Corbet and Hill (1991) recognized it as a separate species.
