TYPE LOCALITY: China, Nan Shan Mtns, upper part of Shargol Dzhin River .

DISTRIBUTION: Tuva ( Russia) and E Kazakhstan, W and S Mongolia, adjacent parts of China from Heilongjiang west to N Xinjiang ( Ma et al., 1987; Qin, 1991).

SYNONYMS: bedfordiae , praedilectus , przewalskii .

COMMENTS: The status of przewalskii was discussed by Corbet (1978c) and Pavlinov and Rossolimo (1987).
