TYPE LOCALITY: Philippines, S Mindanao Isl, Mt Apo, 6000 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from middle to high elevations on Mindanao ( Musser and Heaney, 1992).

SYNONYMS: bardus .

COMMENTS: Included within " Apomys abrae-hylocetes Group " by Musser (1982b).
