TYPE LOCALITY: Philippines, Mindanao Isl, Bukidnon Prov, Mt. Katanglad, 1600 m .

DISTRIBUTION: Islands of Mindanao, Biliran, and Leyte at low and middle elevations.

COMMENTS: Originally described as the only species in Mindanomys by Sanborn (1953), but that genus was considered inseparable from Batomys by Misonne (1969) and Musser and Heaney (1992). Probably more closely related to B. granti than to B. dentatus .
