TYPE LOCALITY: Australia, Western Australia, Peron Peninsula .
DISTRIBUTION: Australia, Western Australia Shark Bay region and Bernier Isl (see map in Watts and Aslin, 1981: 166).
STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; U.S. ESA - Endangered; IUCN - Rare.
COMMENTS: Clustered with most other species of Pseudomys , judged by electrophoretic data ( Baverstock et al., 1981).
