TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Chaco Prov., Las Palmas .

DISTRIBUTION: NE Argentina.

COMMENTS: Described as a species of Akodon ; transferred to Bibimys by Massoia (1980a), who noted the need to clarify the differentiation of this form from B. torresi .
