DISTRIBUTION: Neotropical rainforests from SW Costa Rica to SE Brazil, including Guianas, Trinidad and Tobago; E Andean slopes of WE Colombia to SC Peru.

SYNONYMS: bahiensis, catherinae , cinnamomeus , frontalis , fulviventer , helvolus , klagesi, osgoodi , palmarius, splendens , subluteus, tectus , vicencianus.
