TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico, Coahuila, 2.5 mi W, 21 mi S Ocampo, 3500 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: C Coahuila to NE tip of Zacatecas, Mexico.

COMMENTS: Allocated, with reservation, to the subgenus Peromyscus as sole member of P. hooperi species group ( Schmidly et al., 1985).
