Redescription. Adult ( Figs 1A View FIGURE 1 , 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Forewing length 14.0–26.0 mm, wingspan 29.0–53.0 mm. Antenna pale yellow. Labial palpi with basal segment white, and ventral second segment white at base, the remainder dark brown. Maxillary palpi brown. Patagium pale yellow, brown laterally. Tegula and thorax pale yellow. Wings yellow. Forewing with orbicular stigma brown; discoidal stigma dark brown, reniform or elliptical; a brown band along terminal margin, widened at apical angle, strongly concaved and narrowed into line close to terminal margin between M 2 and CuA 2, with dark interior boundary. Hindwing with discoidal stigma oval or comma-like, brown; a brown band along terminal margin, gradually narrowed to middle, convex near anal angle. Hind tibia with inner proximal spur more than four times length of outer proximal spur, and inner distal spur more than three times the length of outer distal spur.

Male genitalia ( Figs 3B, 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Uncus with basal one third thin, distal two thirds extremely broad and oval, rounded at apex. Valva broad and rounded. Phallus with cornutus composed of a bunch of thick spines.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ). Apophyses anterioris about 1.5 times as long as apophyses posterioris, slightly broader near base. Ductus bursae long and slender, broad, crooked and sclerotized near antrum. Corpus bursae elliptical, posterior half densely covered with small granules.

Distribution. China (Chongqing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hong Kong, Hunan, Tibet, Yunnan), Bhutan, India ( Caradja, 1925; Kirti et al., 1990; Irungbam et al., 2016).

Remarks. The female genitalia of this species are described for the first time.
