Remarks. Phthorimaea tristrigata was described from the unique holotype, collected in Bitshumbu (Édouard), DR Congo. The assignment of the species to Scrobipalpa by De Prins & De Prins (2021) follows Beccaloni et al. (2003). Since this generic combination has not been formally published, I prefer to leave tristrigata in Phthorimaea until the type is examined.
