Genus Parachasmatonotus View in CoL n. gen.

Type species: Parachasmatonotus oesiensis View in CoL n. sp.

Etymology: We name this genus for its similarities with the recent genus Chasmatonotus .

Diagnosis: Eye without dorsomedial extension; male antenna with 11 flagellomeres; squama fringed; scutum with median longitudinal groove on its anterior two thirds, followed by small scutal tubercle and high posterior gibbosity (main character); squama fringed; gonostylus robust and simple; anal point narrow and elongate.
