Osmia (Platosmia) gerofita Warncke, 1990: 487 View in CoL . Type material: Holotype ♀, “Har Sha’alav/ 13 km N Gerofit, 18.4.1990 ” ( Israel), Oberösterreichisches Landesmuseum Linz.

Literature records. ISRAEL AND PALESTINE: Wadi Hevyon, 13 km E of Yeroham, 12.4.1990 ( Warncke, 1990).

New records. EGYPT: Southern Sinai, St. Katherines, April/ May 2013. ISRAEL AND PALESTINE: Ramon, HaMeshar, 25.3.1993. JORDAN: Azraq, 24.4.1996.

Distribution. From southern Sinai to the Negev Desert and the Eastern Desert of Jordan.

Pollen hosts. Possibly oligolectic on Reseda (Resedaceae) and possibly also closely related genera: all five pollen loads (4 localities, 2 countries) analysed so far exclusively consisted of Reseda pollen.

Nesting biology. Unknown.
