Diagnosis: Very shallow impression on declivity just above the teeth. Two pairs of minute denticles on the uppermost area of declivity. Body color yellow to light brown.
Previously synonymized species: Xyleborus perdix Schedl
Examined material: Indonesia, Java, (lectotype of Xyleborus javanus Eggers , USNM); Malaysia, Selangor, (holotype of Xyleborus perdix , BMNH); Malaysia, Malay peninsula (2, BMNH).
