Records from Korea. 1 female, Prov. North Jeolla, Jiri-san, Sannae-myun, Namwon-si, 127°34’57”E, 35°22’33”N, 11.v.2012, leg. S.W. Choi (coll. MNU).

Diagnosis. Dipterygina japonica is easily recognisable by the prominent whitish-grey tornal patches, which are considerably darker in the other members of the genus, varying from ochreous-grey, and pale brownish to darker brown. The inner margin is usually also suffused with similarly light scales and the mesothorax is most often lighter, more greyish than in the other Dypterygina Sugi, 1954 species.

Distribution. Himalayan-Pacific; its area extends from Nepal and northern Indochina to Japan.
