Material examined. Brazil, São Paulo: 1 ♀ (parental with larvae), CCDB 3501 View Materials , Ubatuba, Ilha Anchieta, Praia do Leste , coll. F. Mantelatto & R. Biagi, 20.xi.2002.
Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (North Carolina, Florida to Texas), Mexico (Gulf of Mexico, Yucatan), Bahamas, West Indies, Brazil (Atol das Rocas, seamounts off Fernando de Noronha, and from Rio Grande do Norte to São Paulo) ( Christoffersen 1979; 1998; Coelho Filho 2006; Cardoso & Young 2007; Terossi & Mantelatto 2014).
Previous records. Ubatuba ( Terossi & Mantelatto 2014).
Remarks. studies with this species on São Paulo coast are rare and include the zoea I morphology ( Terossi & Mantelatto 2014). Sequences accession number (GenBank): CCDB 3501 - 16S ( KU312986 View Materials ).
