Alluaudella madagascariensis Gravier, 1905 View in CoL

Alluaudella madagascariensis Gravier, 1905: 372 View in CoL –376, figs 1–5; Day 1967: 280.

Material examined. Madagascar: holotype MNHN A345, 1 additional spm MNHN A345, Fort Dauphin, South beach of Galions, 1901.

Remarks. Not a single character links Alluaudella madagascariensis to Autolytinae . The pharynx is straight, muscle cells are hexagonal, and a ventral cirri is present contrary to the description. With its lamellar projection from chaetiger 1, A. madagascariensis is most similar to taxa in Eusyllinae , e.g. Odontosyllis , and Eusyllis .
