Holotype: Female. Body length = 1.48 mm; (m = 1.41 (1.24–1.50) mm, SD = 0.07, n = 10)

Colour ( Figure 20 View Figure 20 (a))

Head black; mesosoma and metasoma golden brown; A1–A5 yellow with patches of brown, A6–A8 darker than preceding antennomeres; clava dark brown; eyes black; mandibles yellow-brown; legs pale yellow.

Head ( Figure 20 View Figure 20 (b,d,e))

FCI = 1.41; LCI = 0.96; IOS 0.41× width of head; POL>LOL in ratio of 6.9:5.1; lateral ocellus almost contiguous with inner orbit; eye large (L:W = 20.8:18.9), with not so dense white setae; frontal depression with short, weak, transverse striae; vertex and gena coriaceous reticulate; length and width of antennomeres A1–A 8 in ratio of 15.2:4.5, 6.3:3.7, 6.0:3.3, 5.0:2.6, 4.6:2.5, 3.7:3.2, 3.1:3.9, respectively; length and width of clava 18.0:8.8; radicle 0.19× as long as A1.

Mesosoma ( Figure 20 View Figure 20 (d, f–h))

Mesoscutum (L:W = 23.3:24.5) finely reticulate, with long setae; lateral pronotal area weakly reticulate with sparse striae ventrally; netrion weakly reticulate, foveae on anterior margin very distinct; speculum with a single transverse stria, remainder smooth; mesepimeral sulcus foveate, foveae shallow; mesopleural depression predominantly smooth; ventral mesopleuron weakly reticulate; entire metapleuron predominantly smooth except for few sparse striae ventrally; paracoxal sulcus foveate, foveae shallow; mesoscutellum (L:W = 8.8:15.7) semicircular, reticulate, setose with black spots; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus foveate; metascutellum triangular (L:W = 4.4:8.1), smooth with no setae; metanotal trough foveate with a projection towards metascutellum; propodeum medially excavate accommodating posterior end of metascutellum; lateral propodeal area weakly reticulate, setose; propodeal spiracle very distinct; fore wing (L: W = 92.0:31.1) and hind wing (L:W = 77.6:11.1) hyaline with dense microtrichia; length of marginal cilia of fore wing and hind wing 0.12× and 0.43× width of their wings, respectively; length of submarginalis: marginalis: stigmalis: postmarginalis in ratio of 36.1:5.8:8.4:30.1, respectively.

Metasoma ( Figure 20 View Figure 20 (c))

(L:W = 71.7:28.5); T1 costate; T2 with anterior margin smooth beneath which basal foveae present extending further as costae; T3 with a broad smooth upper margin with short basal foveae followed by striations extending three-quarters length of tergite; T3 postero-medially smooth; T4 same as T3; T5 anteriorly weakly costate, remainder weakly reticulate; remaining tergites reticulate; length and width of tergites T1–T 7 in ratio of 11.4:13.7, 13.8:21.8, 13.9:28.0, 13.5:27.0, 8.4:23.2, 6.4:16.2, 4.5:6.3, respectively; T3 longest of all tergites; T2 and T3 subequal in length.

Male

Unknown.

Material examined

Holotype: Female ( ICAR / NBAIR / P1062 ), INDIA: Andaman and Nicobar islands: Great Nicobar, Campbell Bay , 7.0077°N, 93.9147°E, 13 m, YPT, 22.III.2016, KV GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 9 females, ( ICAR / NBAIR /P1063, P1064, P1065, P1066, P1067, P1068, P1069, P1070, P1071), same data as holotype, KV.

Etymology

This species is named ‘ suvarnadeha ’, which means ‘golden body’ in Sanskrit referring to the golden colour of the meso- and metasoma. The name is treated as a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis

This species is distinct from all others because of the combination of the following character states: smooth metascutellum, T1 shorter than either T2 or T3 and golden brown mesosoma and metasoma.
