The only previously published record of this genus from Southeast Asia is of Pentaneura divergens Johannsen , assigned to Monopelopia by Fittkau (1962) based on the immature stages (Zavrel ˇ, 1933). In this survey the larvae, which are quite characteristic (for Pentaneurini ) were found in several pools of varying conductivities from 27–3,240 µS. cm−1 and dissolved solids of 14–1,630 ppm.
